Acts as a liaison between the patients and physicians. Acts as a liaison between management and staff, in both the Orthopedics Department and the Faculty Practice Division. Maintains the day-to-day operations and work flow within the office site.
Works as a team member with all other staff, physicians, administration and patient-support teams.
Assists with addressing patient concerns and implementing departmental goals to meet and exceed target patient satisfaction goals.
Open and reads mail and handles and/or reroutes as appropriate.
Monitors activities associated with cash collections and tracks/completes batches and deposits. Ensures collection of self-pay payments, and ensures collection of appropriate ABN forms for non-covered services.
Assist Regional Manager in oversight of IDX and EMR requirements, such as reviewing daily schedules, timely documentation by providers, and ensures revenue cycle processes are adhered to.
Assists in ensuring sites are staffed and scheduled accordingly. Arranges for appropriate coverage during vacations or unplanned absences.
Assist manager/administrator with staff training programs and staff meetings including but not limited to Learning Academy, HIPPA and Billing Compliance.
Scans and indexes patient records into CROWN. Uploads outside imaging as needed.
High school diploma required/College degree preferred
1-3 years(s) experience working in a medical practice in administration
Computer literate, with keyboard knowledge of institutional used software packages
Experience in project-orientated position preferred
Knowledge of managed care and insurance plans
Ability to work with patients and make them feel comfortable
Ability to work with clinical and front desk staff to ensure smooth day to day operations
