The Certified Medical Assistant/Clinical Coordinator will serve in multiple capacities. The selected candidate will work closely with the other members of the team to ensure that patients are our highest priority.
Scheduling procedures.Coordinates scheduling of ancillary tests and procedures
Accurately collecting, updating and verifying patient demographic and insurance information in IDX or equivalent system and Crown
Collection of copayments and posting of payments to IDX, daily reconciliation of the cash draw.
Perform appointment confirmation, schedule patient appointments and follow up with the “no-show” and patient cancellations to reschedule
Ensures all pre-operative paperwork is completed, scanned and submitted. Scan charts daily into the CROWN electronic health record system.
Sets up examination/consultation/treatment rooms at the start of each day for patient visits.
Perform EKG, weight and height on patients and record these results in CROWN.
Keeps the examination/consultation/treatment rooms stocked with requisitions, forms, medical supplies, etc. Removes physicians/ supplies from examination/consultation/treatment rooms at the end of each physician’s session.
Certified Medical Assistant
Associates degree or the equivalent in education, training, and experience in a clinical practice.
2-5 years of experience in a medical office environment
Knowledge of IDX or other EMR systems preferred
Ability to work independently and takes initiative to improve overall office operations Excellent communication/customer service
Ability to adjust daily to different services and staff needs, process and clinic flow. Bilingual in Spanish preferred
