To address patients’ administrative needs to ensure a smooth/seamless delivery of patient care services.
To develop a coordinated/systematic method for billing and the delivery of care for the VIR service.
To encourage communication between the VIR physicians, technical/support staff and referring physicians/services regarding patients requiring VIR treatments/consultations.
Answers the VIR practice telephone and proactively assists callers/relays messages to the appropriate party. Follows up accordingly.
Assists in the pre- and post –procedural follow up of patients undergoing VIR procedures.
Schedules appointments and coordinates required pre-procedural testing/medical reports.
Verifies insurance information and performs pre-authorization tasks if required.
Assists in the administrative processes related to clinical consultations: Schedules appointment with VIR scheduler, Prepares a chart with available patient medical information and blank History & Physical Examination forms, Obtains copy of patient’s insurance card/collects co-payment if applicable.
Prepares response for routine correspondence.
Prepares medical transcription for VIR physicians.
Prepares, collects and processes up front billing and payment for VIR patients:
Organizes and maintains files.
High School Diploma or Equivalency Certificate
Minimum 1 years of physician practice experience, radiology preferable
