The Front Desk receptionist will be Key member of a team for a high volume practice. Their goal is to perform administrative duties that will help provide quality care for dental patients.
Answer telephones professionally, take accurate messages and direct or expedite as needed.
Via Epic: schedule, register, and collect all pertinent information for patient appointments & procedures. Collect signatures for Consent forms, HIPPA Forms, etc. as needed via EPIC. Update and verify patient demographics on regular basis.
Responsible for insurance verification, pre-registration, collecting co-pays and payments at time of service.
Participate in confirmation of patient appointments.
Responsible for communicating all schedule changes, delays, cancellations to Providers/hygienists.
Available to work every other Saturday.
Able to type correspondence and communicate in a professional matter.
Understand basic dental coding and how to generate Dental Plans & estimates as needed.
Must have High School Diploma/GED.
Must have at least 1-2 years Front desk experience (Dental Practice Experience strongly preferred).
Computer literate with Experience in Epic or other EMR Software preferred.
Knowledge of Dental terminology strongly preferred.
