The Scribe will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of a high volume practice by assisting the professional faculty in the Electrophysiology Program with the Division of Cardiology. The Scribe is accountable for providing quality care services and assisting the patients as needed in order to ensure a positive patient experience. The Scribe will ensure that all patients, guests, visitors, and team members receive personalized, prompt attention and treated with receptiveness, dignity, and respect.
Assist providers in scribing all office visit documentation in EMR. Help providers navigate the EMR and locate information such as testing/lab results. Requires attention to detail and accuracy.
Support work flow and documentation for medical record coding, and ensure that notes are compliant and signed in a timely manner by providers
Pre-populate medications, allergies, and medicaV surgical history in EMR
Assist physician and/ or nursing staff and/ or prepare exam rooms for in office procedures. Clean and maintain exam rooms and utility areas.
Work closely with mid-level and admin team to facilitate completion of disability papers, insurance and return to work letters, letters of medical necessity and visiting nurse paperwork.
Escort patients from waiting area to exam room
Coordinate patient workflow with provider, front desk coordinator and secretary- inform patients in waiting and exam rooms of any delays.
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in education, training and experience in a clinical practice setting.
Knowledge of Medical terminology and 2-3 years of related experience preferred.
Experience with scribing/ medical transcription is a plus.
