Under general supervision from the Medical Records Supervisor, this position’s primary function is to support the medical records department by processing record requests, scanning, filing and providing support for the office.
Process all medical record requests in a timely manner. Filing of medical records and materials in medical records. Maintains appropriate records and files.
Responsible for moving newly received supplies and boxes as needed in the Center.
Assists with mailings and other large scale collating projects. Duplicates, collates and distributes materials. Handles and routes incoming/outgoing mail.
Maintains appropriate levels of paper in the copier, printers and fax machines while also maintaining an adequate supply of paper.
Acts as courier when needed.
Perform simple data entry functions. Types simple memos, correspondence, forms, labels, etc.
Tracks office supplies and prepares requests for orders.
High School graduate or GED.
0-1 year work experience or equivalent education.
Use of office equipment, (i.e. computer, copier, fax machine).
Ability to communicate clearly and accurately in a pleasant, courteous manner with patients, visitors and co-workers.
Ability to organize work and accommodate a changing and unpredictable environment.
